Armor on the outside can't protect against malignant cells on the inside. Does Bryce's condition excuse how he's withheld all this from K.A.? Is using another man as an armored proxy while he communicates from a makeshift hospital in his basement the best way to respond to his illness? Is his judgment even trustworthy, given the tumor weighing on his brain?

Wow, great questions! I can't even speculate, save for the guilt (out of shock) that K.A. has to be feeling, right now. To be able to accomplish all that, I think he could be trusted, for now.

Trusted in terms of intentions, if not rationality.

Oh dang... I did NOT see that coming.

I can't really sign on with him being of exactly sound judgment...

He was ambulatory the first time we saw him after K.A.'s awakening, at least. There's still a chance that the radiation therapy will help him

What a major surprise all of a sudden. I hope Bryce can provide some more answers.

Believe me when I say that a terminal illness of an old friend is not the worst thing coming up...

Oh hell, this took a turn. One that I certainly didn't see coming. I had to go back and check those earlier comics you noted. And wow, if there's one thing I appreciate it's when comic creators plant story beats early in their work and deliver on them later. The sign of competence in storytelling. =)

Thank you. I hope the clues weren't so subtle that there was no chance anyone would pick up on it, but then I didn't want to do anything too obvious like giving him a nosebleed.
